Albert Eugene Pagnucci has been a community leader in the French Camp area from the early 1960’s to the present. Mr. Pagnucci involved himself in many volunteer and elected positions. He was a volunteer firefighter for the French Camp McKinley District from 1962 to 1981. In 1981 he was elected to be a Director of the Fire District. Al was the President of the French Camp Chamber of Commerce from 1968 to 1972. Al also served on a number of school and athletic organizations. He was Director of the Twin City Little League, President of the East Union Boosters Club, and worked football games as a member of the “Chain Gang” for 32 years. Because of Albert’s involvement in school and Community activities, Mr. Pagnucci was selected Man of the Year on three separate occasions. In 1960 by the French Camp Parent Teacher association, in 1974-75 by the East Union High School Parent Teacher Association and by the French Camp Chamber of Commerce. He also received a commendation award from the Manteca Unified School District for outstanding volunteer work. Mr. Pagnucci and his wife Katherine have two children, Patrick and Dena. He was employed by Teigert Construction for many years retiring in 1997. Al continued his volunteer work and farming, growing alfalfa, tomatoes, asparagus, walnuts and corn. Mr. Pagnucci’s civic mindedness and leadership ability have proven very valuable to the community over the years. His work in elected and volunteer positions make him well deserving of his induction into the Manteca, Lathrop, and French Camp Hall of Fame.
