Ricardo Cuevas was born.’ Tegucigalpa, Honduras, moving to Chicago, IL with his family at the age of three Ricardo attended Waihert High School, Dubuque, Iowa, and was a National Honor Society Student in both junior and senior years. He was accepted at the University of Iowa and completed a BS degree receiving the National Deans List Award in 1984. He was accepted at the prestigious University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Cuevas received his DDS degree from the University of Iowa in 1988 and worked in private practice in Chicago, and Sioux City, IA for two years. He came to Manteca in 1994 and purchased the Manteca Dental Group.
Dr. Cuevas joined the Manteca Rotary Club In 1995 and served as club President from 1998-1999. He received recognition from the Rotary International Foundation for his work on behalf of the victims of Hurricane Mitch in Honduras, receiving the Rotary International Service Above Self Award.
Dr. Cuevas has been active in Manteca serving on the Board of Directors for Manteca CAPS, the Manteca Chamber o! Commerce, and the American Cancer Society. He was appointed to the Manteca Vision 20/20 Committee, was the founding President of the South San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and on the Manteca Library Task Force Committee. Dr. Cuevas serves on the St. Anthony School Advisory Board and is active with the Knights of Columbus.
Dr. Cuevas served as President of the San Joaquin Dental Society from 2003-2004 and has been a volunteer at many health fairs in the San Joaquin County.
Dr. Cuevas lives in Ripon with his wife Richa and their five-year-old daughter Eva.
