The mission of the Manteca, Lathrop, & French Camp Hall of Fame is to give recognition to the citizens of Manteca, Lathrop, & French Camp who served as achievers in their respective fields and to promote them as role models for the young people of the community.
The intent was to sponsor a ceremony that would be a cut above the other fundraisers and award ceremonies, something that could become a part of the rich tradition of the greater Manteca community.
Nominations are solicited annually from the community at large. A screening committee reviews the applications to ensure each applicant met the criteria of living in or making a significant contribution to the area served by Manteca Unified School District.
The Selection Committee is independent of the Hall of Fame Committee and the Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors. It consists of past Hall of Fame inductees and members at large from the community. The Selection Committee membership is confidential ensuring that there are no politics or undue influences on their decision making process.
When you review the Court of Honor of current and past inductees, you will see the type of people who have contributed significantly to our community over the years.
The Boys and Girls Club of Manteca/Lathrop takes pride in founding, presenting and continuing the Hall of Fame tradition. The inductees provide leadership by example that help guide the youth of our community.
