Donna Shannon is the definition of volunteerism. Donna and her family moved to the Greater Manteca area in 1978 and she immediately went to work as a volunteer on behalf of many organizations. During her employment at Manteca Tire, Precision Automotive, Delta National Bank, Manteca Unified and currently with the Manteca Convention & Visitors Bureau she always found time to volunteer. Since 1982 Donna has been an active volunteer with the Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose where she received the highest degree awarded. She served with the Manteca Chamber of Commerce as a member of the Board of Directors, Ambassador Chair and prepared the Manteca presentation at the San Joaquin County Fair winning several first place awards. As a member of Manteca Sunrise Kiwanis, she volunteered with the Annual Pumpkin Fair, bike trail clean-up, Special Access Day, Flags over Manteca and 4th of July parade. Donna has served on many organization’s Board of Directors including Valley Caps, Manteca Youth Focus, and theManteca Convention & Visitors Bureau. Donna also volunteered countless hours with Sequoia Heights Baptist Church, Give Every Child A Chance and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manteca and Lathrop’s Annual Telethon. Donna has received awards recognizing her volunteerism from Sunrise Kiwanis and in 2010 as Volunteer of the Year for the Convention & Visitors Bureau. Donna continually reaches out to help others and in most cases is the first to offer assistance when needed. Other than volunteering her time in the community, Donna enjoys bowling and spending time with family. Donna has three children, a son and two daughters.
